Websites for solicitors

Conveyancing website design that gets the quote request before the comparison site does

Raise The Bar Websites designs websites for conveyancing firms, built around one job: giving a buyer or seller a clear price fast enough that they ask you for a quote instead of going back to a comparison site. Builds start at £1,995 and go live in 2 to 4 weeks.

How do conveyancing clients choose a firm?

Conveyancing is the most price-driven work a high street firm does. "Conveyancing" alone is searched around 9,900 times a month in the UK, and Google's suggested cost per click is about £23 (DataforSEO, October 2026). Most of those people:

  1. Have just had an offer accepted, or are about to list.
  2. Have been sent a recommended conveyancer by the estate agent.
  3. Want a price before they want anything else.
  4. Are comparing on a phone, often in the evening.

If your website makes them call for a price, many will not.

What does a conveyancing website need?

Feature Why

Quote form or calculator above the fold

The price is the first question

SRA price information page

Residential conveyancing is listed under the SRA Transparency Rules: cost, basis of charges, disbursements, VAT, stages, timescales and who does the work

Separate pages for purchase, sale, remortgage, transfer of equity, leasehold

Each one has different fees and different searches

"Who will handle my matter"

Named conveyancers and their supervisor, as the rules ask

CQS and lender panel information

Reassures buyers whose lender needs an approved firm

Stage-by-stage explainer

Cuts the "what's happening?" calls your team takes every day

Estate agent referral page

A simple page agents can send clients to

What usually goes wrong on conveyancing websites?

The price page is a PDF.

Hard to read on a phone and easy to forget to update.

Disbursements are hidden.

A low headline fee followed by a long list of extras damages trust.

Leasehold is an afterthought.

Leasehold work has extra stages and costs, and buyers increasingly search for it specifically.

No timescale.

"How long will it take?" is the second question after price.

How does a quote form help win conveyancing work?

A buyer with an accepted offer often asks two or three firms for a quote on the same evening. The firm that replies first with a clear figure, and makes the next step easy, usually wins. A good quote form asks only what you need to price the job: tenure, price, mortgage or cash, and whether it is a purchase, sale or both. It then sends the request straight to the person who issues quotes.

Frequently asked questions

What does the SRA require on a conveyancing firm's website?

Residential conveyancing is one of the services listed in the SRA Transparency Rules. Firms that offer it must publish price and service information, including total cost or a range, the basis of charges, likely disbursements, VAT, key stages and timescales, and who does the work. Your COLP is responsible for making sure it is right.

Can you build an instant conveyancing quote calculator?

Yes. We can embed a quote tool from a third-party provider you already use, or build a simple quote form that sets out your fee bands. The figures always come from your firm.

We are a licensed conveyancing firm regulated by the CLC. Can you help?

Yes. The Council for Licensed Conveyancers has its own transparency requirements, which are similar in spirit to the SRA's. We build to whichever regulator applies to you.

Should we show our CQS accreditation?

If you hold the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation, yes. Many buyers' lenders require a CQS firm, so it is a useful trust signal near the quote form.

Can clients track their matter on the website?

We can link to the client portal or case tracking tool your case management system provides. We do not build custom tracking systems.
