These terms apply to services provided by WDL Digital Ltd (company number 12944648, registered office 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX), trading as Raise The Bar Websites ("we"), to law firms and chambers ("you").
Quotes
Quotes are fixed for the scope described and held for seven days from the date sent.
Payment
Website builds: 50% on acceptance, 50% at launch. Monthly services: billed monthly in advance. Google Ads spend is paid by you directly to Google and never passes through us.
Monthly services
Care plan, SEO and AI visibility, and Google Ads management are rolling monthly with 30 days' notice from either side. No minimum term and no exit fee. Google Ads has a one-off setup fee of £495.
Ownership
Your domain is registered in your firm's name. On final payment, you own the website design and content we created for you. If you leave, we transfer the website to you free of charge.
Your regulatory responsibility
We know the rules that commonly affect law firm websites, including the SRA Transparency Rules. We do not give legal or regulatory advice. Your firm, through its COLP or equivalent, is responsible for all content published on your website and in your ads, and for your compliance with the SRA, BSB, CLC, ICO, CAP Code and any other applicable rules. You will review and approve all content before it is published.
No guarantees
We do not guarantee any ranking, AI citation, traffic, number of enquiries or revenue. These depend on Google, AI providers and other factors outside our control.
Reviews
We will never write, buy or post fake reviews, and we will not ask you to.
Data protection
Where we process personal data on your behalf (for example, website enquiries), we act as your processor under UK GDPR, under data processing terms we provide with your written quote.
Liability
Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
