Step 1: The written brief (day 1)
One form, about 20 minutes. It asks for:
- Your practice areas and which ones you want more of
- Fee earners, roles and who supervises whom
- Prices you already publish under the SRA Transparency Rules
- Your case management system (Clio, LEAP, Osprey, Actionstep or other)
- Three websites you like, and why
No meeting is needed. If something is unclear, we ask in writing.
Step 2: Design sign-off (week 1)
You see a real home page and one practice-area page in the browser, on desktop and phone. You approve the look before we build the rest. If it is not right, that is your first revision round.
Step 3: Content and build (weeks 1 to 3)
We write every page from your brief. Each fee earner gets their own practice-area pages and profile to check for legal accuracy. Pages with a regulatory angle, such as price pages and the complaints page, go to your COLP.
| Who | What they do | Time needed |
|---|---|---|
| Us | Write, design, build, set up forms and tracking | Most of it |
| Fee earners | Check their pages and profiles | 20 to 40 minutes each |
| COLP | Review price, complaints and regulatory pages | About an hour |
| Partner or practice manager | Final sign-off | About an hour |
Step 4: Launch (weeks 2 to 6)
- Redirects from your old site so existing Google rankings are protected
- SRA badge checked against your mySRA record
- Site submitted to Google Search Console
- A baseline record of where you rank and what AI tools say about your firm today
- Handover: how to edit profiles and news, and who to call
What happens after launch?
Your site moves onto the care plan at £65 a month. If you want more enquiries from search or ads, see SEO for law firms and Google Ads for law firms.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need to meet in person?
No. The process runs on a written brief and short video calls if you want them. Most partners prefer it, because it fits around fee-earning time.
How much of our time will it take?
Usually 2 to 4 hours across the whole project: filling in the brief, approving the design, and having fee earners check their practice-area pages and profiles.
Who checks the legal accuracy of the content?
Your fee earners. We write the pages; they confirm the law is right. Anything with a regulatory angle should also be seen by your COLP.
What happens if we miss a deadline?
The launch date moves with it. We never launch pages a fee earner has not approved.
What happens after launch?
Your site moves onto the £65 a month care plan, which covers hosting, security, backups and one minor change a year. SEO, AI visibility and Google Ads are optional extras.
